Unveil Comprehensive Social Security Reform Plan to Club for Growth Friday
Brownback rules out tax increase and benefit
cuts; will instead offer market-based approach to save Social Security
ALEXANDRIA,
Va—U.S. Senator Sam Brownback will unveil a bold, comprehensive plan to reform
Social Security at the Club for Growth Winter Conference in Palm Beach, Florida,
on Friday afternoon, March 30. Senator Brownback will rule out both a tax
increase and benefit cut as a "solution" to the impending Social Security
crisis. Instead, Senator Brownback will offer a market-based approach to save
Social Security.
Although the Club for Growth speech is not open to the media, Brownback will be
available for one-on-one interviews on site at the Ritz Carleton following his
address to explain his Social Security reform plan to reporters and take
questions. William Shipman, Brownback for President Special Advisor on Social
Security and Co-chairman of the Cato Institute Project on Social Security Choice
