We have been haunted since 2005 by a lawsuit that
has been in the Polk County Courthouse started by
Lambda, radical national
homosexual activists, after
several homosexual couples were denied licenses to
marry. On
Thursday, August 30, 2007, Judge Robert
Hanson, striking down Iowa's ban on homosexual
marriage, shocked all of us. It shocked
us, and yet it does not really surprise us......

light of District Judge Robert Hanson’s August 30,
2007 ruling striking down Iowa’s Defense of Marriage
Act and forcing Iowa to issue same-sex marriage
licenses, we urge the Iowa Legislature and U.S.
Congress to act immediately to define marriage as a
union between one man and one woman by way of
amendment to both the Iowa and U.S. Constitutions.
