Iowa Federation of College Republicans
c/o Mr. Don McDowell Co-Chairman
11 September 2007

Dear Mr. McDowell and Iowa Federation of College Republicans

Thank you for offering me this electronic forum and opportunity to advance my candidacy.

My prefacing remarks and perhaps a refrain for each of the questions offered for my individual responses is that, “all Americans and for that matter, any business and/or governmental leader of any country, and/or aliens entering United States sovereignty, should not break any laws including the Commandments from God! To do so, perpetuates social distrust, disillusionment and disrespect for authority, placing any group of citizen’s one step closer to anarchy and chaos. Breaking Commandments, verbal agreements or written contracts confers unequal privilege for some and punishment to others, behavior that should not be tolerated.”

1. You do not get a whole lot of media attention, so could you talk a little about who you are and why you've decided to seek the Presidency of the United States of America?

I decided to run for President in 2008 because I believe my generation of WWII babies needs to provide a better legacy for our children and the future for our grandchildren. I believe that I have: the strength of character, a grasp on the problems and issues, an achievable vision for the future, the humility and good sense to ask for help with no political baggage to carry forward.

Political and business corruption has proliferated since the end of the Viet Nam War. Confidence and respect for America has been greatly diminished throughout the World. Third World countries have suffered horribly. American families and their values have come under relentless attack. Truth - in media, politics, corporate America, financial markets, governmental agencies, and personal relationships - is in short supply. A daunting question, “Who can you believe?” should not be the exception.

With my candidacy, I believe I can set the national debate for a higher standard for: truth and honesty in government service, confidence in self-reliance and personal responsibility, greater integrity from unscrupulous corporate America, and improvement in the world image of the United States of America.

I believe Congress, in exchange for perks and campaign donations, has ruined families and small communities with changes in tax laws that permitted corporations to migrate out of the continental US for the purposes of profit at the expense of its employees. As a consequence, the financial solvency of the Social Security System has been damaged beyond repair.

I believe the new course for America needs to place more emphasis on the relationship of corporate America with its hourly employees rather than with “golden parachutes” for unscrupulous corporate managers, directors and bottom line speculators.

I believe Congress has allowed the National Debt to spiral out of control with no successful plan to curtail and reduce its magnitude.

I believe Congress has failed to fully and completely execute its authority granted by Article I Section 8 of the Constitution.

Several examples:

·               to reduce the National Debt

·               to repel the invasion of illegal aliens and enact the necessary rules for Naturalization

·               to plan or provide for timely and complete recovery for response to natural disasters

·               to define and punish Offenses against the law of Nations

·               to stop the flow of narcotics from Afghanistan and other countries

2. Why do you believe the GOP should get behind you and make you our nominee?

I believe my candidacy will set the national debate for a higher standard for: expecting truth and honesty in government service, energizing confidence in self-reliance and personal responsibility, reducing the necessity of dubious Washington handouts, demanding greater integrity from unscrupulous corporate America, and restoring the world leadership image of the United States of America.

Americans want a candidate like them – someone who punches a time clock, brown bags a lunch, has a spouse that works, volunteers for community programs or worked a second job - who understands how important it is to restore and enlarge the middle class by providing a better path out of poverty, improving all levels of education, returning manufacturing jobs to America and cleaning up the inner-city slums which breed too many social problems.

I have confidence that I will unite all Americans to reclaim the values and principles proclaimed in the Declaration of Independence, enumerated in our Constitution and ratified by our founding fathers as a legacy for all Americans and restore an honest, respected governance example for the rest of the world!

I believe that I have: the better understanding of these issues, the charisma to energize all Americans to participate in this election cycle electing the next President of the United States and the courage to overcome the bitter divisiveness that is wrecking our country.

3. What's the first thing you'd do after you get into the office as President?

The wounded veteran comes first!

My first Executive order would be to improve the care and treatment of our wounded veterans and assistance to family members assisting and/or caring for their spouse or family member. This would include but not be limited to a state by state review:

·               of facilities – condition, construction projects in progress, either planned or not started or funded, compliance with cost estimates and/or possible corruption

·               complaints – inadequate or incomplete service, quality of service, length of wait time, availability to receive any assistance 24/7

·               staffing – staffing needs vs. available qualified, caring staff, compensation, turn-over, reasons for turn-over

·               transportation – transportation obstacles to treatment: distance, time of day public or private or volunteer conveyance

·               volunteer utilization – recruitment, training, retention, recognition

·               any other obstacles to care and treatment like funding or budget delays

·               There will be no special legislative “pork barrel earmarks or pet projects” that will precede the spending for veteran medical assistance for current needs or life long medical care, counseling, job training.

4. Illegal immigration is one of the most emotional issues right now, what's the best way to solve this problem?

Members of Congress have not lived up to their oath of office to protect and defend our borders or the Constitution of the United States!

My second Executive order would be to:

·               order the military to protect our borders with force if need be

·               reassign all border patrol agents to Customs or ICE functions

·               require all illegal aliens within 90 days to report to their local police departments for processing. Processing would include but not be limited to, fingerprinting, DNA sampling, photographing, itemization of health needs and treatment, determining educational needs,  completing a Census style questionnaire identifying  birth place, family and family member identification, employment status and employer identification, Social security number and forfeiture of all false documentation

·               allow their return to their U.S. homes and places of legal employment

·               require correctly documented illegal aliens to begin a legal process of immigration naturalization including education and completing English language proficiency

·               require a periodic status of their naturalization process

·               stop all cross border commerce and travel by any persons for this 90 day period

·               suspend all money transfers to any Latin American Country by individuals during this 90 day period

·               improve the inspection process and flow of commerce and recreational travel at legal check points during this 90 day period

·               apprehend any illegal aliens after the 90 day period who do not have correct documentation and incarcerating them in detention compounds run by the military until processed for conscription, deportation or sentencing because of criminal activity

·               prosecute all employers hiring illegal aliens

·               construct the fence

·               other sanctions as needed

5. The War in Iraq and the greater War Against Terror is a very hot issue, do you support the President's Surge or do you think America needs to change course there?

I support the surge with great reservations.

My third Executive order would be to bring the troops home and reinstate the draft with fewer allowable deferments.

·               I believe that the elected leaders in Iraq who are aiding the unrest through inaction, deceit and quiet support of militant insurgents should be held accountable either through their Constitutional laws if those laws are adequate, or an international venue as crimes against humanity.

·               I believe the United States of America and our allies are engaged in WW III. Iraq and Afghanistan are the focal points in the Middle East. The international drug and arms trade throughout the world and the assaults on the African continent are all part of this struggle.

·               The United States has the only international backbone in the solution to this problem which may have no end diplomatically. Unilateral military decisions that were used to end WW II will probably be the quickest and only lasting solution to world peace.

·               Only when the individual Muslim leaders’ world wide renounce violence as a method of diplomacy can we all begin the road to peace. The Muslim education model for educating their young to hate will take several generations to reverse.

·               Some other parameters needed in the peace process are the world wide renunciation of corruption; the elimination of illegal arms trafficking; stopping the illegal drug trade (consumption, distribution and manufacturing) with governmental duplicity; the eradication of international prostitution, childhood slavery and forced military conscription.

Only when refuge camps are replaced with communities with reliable governance that allow children to live terror free, attend schools for learning and self improvement, drink potable water, have proper sanitation and access to health care and legitimate employment opportunities for the furtherance of local and international commerce, will we all truly be able to enjoy peace on the planet earth!

6. Republicans got in trouble in 2006 for not curbing government spending. How would you work to end the spending spree in Washington?

My fourth Executive Order would be to start a 15 year plan to eliminate the Federal national Debt by freezing any growth in the budget and using revenues to pay down the debt.

·               Reduce the expenditures by 1% the first year

·               Reduce the 2nd year expenditures by 2%

·               Reduce the 3rd year expenditures by 4%

·               Reduce the 4th year expenditures by 6%

·               Reduce each subsequent year expenditure by 8%

Politically, I would start the process to repeal the 16th Amendment to the Constitution and amend the Constitution to prohibit any death inheritance taxation of wealth or property.

If need be, I would by Executive Order, only approve block grant distributions of Federal funds to the responsibility of state legislatures for distribution and hold the respective governors politically and financially responsible for management of those funds for the enumerated projects.

7. What innovative ideas do you have for health care in America?

Health care in America begins with individual Americans and parents of our youth taking personal responsibility for healthy living behaviors. I would promote wellness and support our local hospitals because they have effective health and wellness treatments and counseling. We also need to recognize the importance of the family doctor as the first step in health management and treatment.

Those of us who do not commit criminal behavior are free to be “all that we can be.” So, why should those of us who are the law abiding population have to, because of social necessity, support criminals in prisons, be forced to pay for bad health behavior by our fellow Americans? I don’t think so.

Our local hospitals, doctors and clinics are being abused by 3rd party insurers and profit takers who promote universal health care. Unfortunately, there are honest, reputable health care providers who suffer the political indignation caused by the exploiters, benefit cheaters and fraudulent benefit charges. I would address these issues first.

8. How do you feel about important social issues like abortion, same-sex marriage, stem cells, and 2nd Amendment issues?

God’s Commandments, the teachings of Jesus and our Constitution are about responsibility, duty and honor. A marriage between a man and woman is the most fundamental of relationships which needs faith, respect, tolerance and truth to endure. It is the linchpin of any successful, enduring society. Any activity which weakens the respect of this societal relationship begins the degradation of any organized society.

Attacks on this relationship, like abortion, fetal stem-cell research, infidelity, abuse and same sex marriages should not be tolerated.

The second amendment is a protection for law abiding citizens which I support. It doesn’t make sense to punish law abiding citizens for gun ownership when criminals use weapons for their own protection and criminal needs.

9. What well known Republican do you most base your political views and outlook upon and how would you encourage more young people to get involved in Republican politics?

There aren’t many. Modern day Republicans that have some influence are Reagan, Mac Arthur and Eisenhower. Lincoln and our founding fathers had the clearest vision, sense of purpose, honor and integrity.

God’s Commandments and the teachings of Jesus aren’t Republican, they are universal, evenly applied and succinct unlike our Constitution and other laws which draw upon these for guidance and restatement. I strongly believe that these may have been the basis for their strength of character.

The reason I would give our youth to get involved is, “it is your future that is at risk!” They need to completely understand the heritage they enjoy and the responsibility to pass it along intact to the next generation.

10. What kind of campaign are you running and will we see you in Iowa?

I am running a lean campaign and at this time not accepting campaign donations. I suggest that any donations considered be donated to a local community organization that is providing care packages to our troops over seas because they need all the support from home that we can provide.

I am utilizing questionnaires like this, media interviews and the internet – blogs, email contacts and postings on national data bases - to provide information about my candidacy.

I will be attending the Iowa Christian Alliance, Friends of the Family Award Banquet on September 29th at the Seven Flags Convention Center.
