DES MOINES, IA— Iowans for Tax Relief (ITR) and the Iowa Christian Alliance (ICA) hosted a Presidential Candidates Forum with an official count of 872 Iowans in attendance on Saturday, June 30, 2007 in Des Moines, Iowa.   

The event was a success with six presidential candidates speaking at the four hour event; the Honorable Tommy Thompson, Governor Mike Huckabee, Senator Sam Brownback, Governor Mitt Romney, Congressman Tom Tancredo and Congressman Duncan Hunter all spoke to a room full of Iowans eager to learn more about their stance on tax relief and social issues.   

Each candidate spoke for 20 minutes and then had 10 minutes for clarification on six questions that were sent to the campaigns in advance of the forum.  Clarification questions were asked by David Stanley, ITR Chairman and Steve Scheffler, ICA President.  All credible Democrat and Republican Presidential candidates were invited.
