Iowa Christian Alliance

2007 Spring Kick-Off Event Featuring Dr. Laurence White

We have had a great first year as Iowa Christian Alliance. Just one year ago, with some trepidation, we changed our name.  Now, one year later, stronger than ever, we look forward to what the Lord has in store for Iowa Christian Alliance." --Steve Scheffler, President, Iowa Christian Alliance

On Tuesday, February 27, 2007, Iowa Christian Alliance welcomes Dr. Laurence White to Iowa as the keynote speaker of its annual Spring Legislative Kickoff reception.  The event is held every year to welcome pro-life and pro-family legislators to the new session and to motivate activists to involvement in the legislative process.

This year's event will be held at Point of Grace Church, located at 305 N.E. Dartmoor Drive, Waukee, Iowa, from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M.  Several hundred supporters are expected to attend the event.

Dr. Laurence White is the senior pastor of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Houston, Texas.  Dr. White is a regular speaker for pro-life, pro-family events.  Through his activities, Dr. White has spoken to nearly 20,000 pastors across the nation, urging God's spokesmen to courageously speak out on the fundamental issues of life and family which now confront America.  Dr. White also serves on the National Advisory Board of the Family Research Council, and as the Chairman of the Niemoller Project

and the Texas Restoration Project.

This year's guest Master of Ceremonies will be Mr. Matt Whitaker.  Matt is a three time letter winner for the University of Iowa and former candidate for state-wide public office.  Mat Whitaker's calm presence and mild Godly spirit is evident to all and admired by those who know him best.

"The next two years are going to be exciting.  We will be involved in projects that we have never tackled before, so the physical contributions and prayers of our supporters are going to be needed more than ever," concluded Steve Scheffler.
