Iowa Christian Alliance

Hosts Sen. Sam Brownback

At Davenport House Party

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, DES MOINES, IOWA, July 10, 2007 – Iowa Christian Alliance, formerly known as Christian Coalition of Iowa, is pleased to host Kansas Senator, and 2008 presidential candidate, Sam Brownback, at its Davenport house party on Thursday, July 12 from 5:30-7:30 P.M.

The event, which will take place at the home of hosts Stephen and Luana Stoltenberg, will provide Eastern Iowa activists an opportunity to meet Sen. Brownback and become familiar with his policy positions. “We are thrilled that Sen. Brownback has accepted our invitation to introduce himself to ICA supporters and discuss the important issues facing our nation,” stated Steve Scheffler, ICA’s president.

The Davenport house party marks the third event ICA has facilitated with a 2008 presidential candidate. “ICA does not endorse any candidates. However, we do feel strongly about providing a forum for our activists to get to know the candidates and ask them the tough questions. We have contacted each of the 2008 presidential candidates to appear at one of the many house parties we will be sponsoring in the coming months. I only hope that each accepts our invitation,” Scheffler said.

“As we look forward to the Iowa Caucuses, we want to make sure that all of our supporters are well informed on each candidate’s position on issues important to Iowa voters.  Each of these house parties plays an important role in that educational process,” continued Scheffler.

RSVP and exact event location information may be obtained by contacting Iowa Christian Alliance at (515) 971-7363 or by logging on to the website at www.iowachristian.com.
