Iowa Christian Alliance to Host Phyllis Schlafly at

6^th Annual Friends of the Family Banquet

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, DES MOINES, IOWA, September 7, 2006 – Iowa Christian Alliance will be holding its 6^th annual banquet designed to honor those who have committed their time, treasures, and talents to the cause of promoting Christian conservative values.  Phyllis Schlafly noted national leader of the conservative movement and founder and President of Eagle Forum will be the keynote speaker.  Master of Ceremonies will be Des Moines’s own Kayne Robinson.

Others addressing the attendees will be gubernatorial candidate Jim Nussle, third district congressional candidate Jeff Lamberti, Congressman Tom Latham of Iowa’s fourth congressional district, and Iowa’s fifth district Congressman Steve King.

Awards will be given to former State Senator David Lord, posthumously, accepted by his wife Maizie; Lynn Proudfoot of Des Moines; and Joyce Farrington of Council Bluffs.  The coveted Ione Dilley Founders Award will be given to Marilyn Bose of Estherville.
